WARRIOR is the new sponsor of the AfroGames project

The WARRIOR, brand of gaming equipment and accessories from Multilaser, is the new supporter of the project AfroGames, created in partnership between the AfroReggae Cultural Group and Chantilly Productions. Last Saturday, two more poles of the project were inaugurated, equipped with Warrior products to serve students from the communities of Nova Holanda and Morro do Timbau, located in Maré.

“It is very gratifying for WARRIOR to receive an invitation to be a partner in such an important and transformative project, to collaborate with dreams and new possibilities for the future for these young people in vulnerable situations. In addition, we are encouraging and supporting the training of new professionals in electronic sports and inserting students into the job market”, comments Eliane Pacheco, Marketing Manager at WARRIOR. “The project speaks to the DNA of Grupo Multi, which is to democratize technology”, he concludes. 

AfroGames has courses and classes in Game Programming, Valorant, League Of Legends and Free Fire, in addition to English for all students.

About AfroGames

Created in 2019, AfroGames is a digital inclusion and social impact project, focused on young people in vulnerable situations, residents of Rio’s favelas. The project is the result of a partnership between Grupo Cultural AfroReggae and Chantilly Produções and its main objective is to use education and technology as strategies for social transformation and income generation through the creation of the first professional eSports team within a favela in world and a center for gamer culture and electronic sports that train professionals with high competitive potential in different segments. In 2022, the project will serve 170 young people with programming courses, League Of Legends, Free Fire, Fortnite and English. Today, AfroGames has the sponsorship of IHS, Ambev and the State Department of Sport of Rio de Janeiro, co-sponsorship of GE, Globo Rio and the Municipal Department of Culture of Rio de Janeiro, support from Gol and Player 1, in addition to partnerships with Nuveem , HyperX and DT3.
