Eevee is a special little monster inside Pokemon Sword & Shield which can evolve into eight different Pokémon, depending on the method used to evolve it! The methods are practically the same for each "eeveelution” as in previous games.
Except evolve Eevee to Glaceon and Leafeon now it's easier - and Sylveon can evolve with friendship like Espeon and Umbreon. Also, in this guide you will also learn where to catch Eevee in Sword and Shield. So let's go!
Where to find Eeveelutions
Alternatively, if you are looking for all the Eeveelutions, check the northwest corner of the Wild Area. It's the hill on the other side of the location lake of outrage.
Here, there are several rocks in a circle, and you'll see Eevee evolutions spawn nearby, depending on the weather! You can also find all the evolution stones needed to evolve Eevee.
How to catch Eevee
You can catch an Eevee on Route 4 in Pokemon Sword and Shield. It's very rare, but sometimes you'll see it in the overworld! Be aware that the “Gigantamax Eevee Gift” you receive for saving Let's Go Eevee will not evolve!
How to evolve Eevee into…
Sylveon
Sylveon is an Eevee-type evolution fairy, first introduced in Pokemon X and Y.
Increase Eevee's friendship to three hearts and level up when he learns a Fairy-type move evolves into Sylveon. If you take it to the friendship checker at Hammerlocke, he will say “You two get along great! Together is always better – am I right?”
Sylveon used to evolve only with "affection“, I earn by playing with Pokemon Amie / Pokemon Refresh in previous games. Friendship and affection were largely combined in Pokemon Sword and Shield!
Espeon
Espeon is an Eevee evolution of psychic type, introduced in Pokemon Gold and Silver.
Raise the Eevee's Friendship to three hearts and then level it up during the day. Make sure Eevee doesn't know a Fairy-type move, or it will evolve into Sylveon! You can delete an NPC move on the left counter within any Pokemon Center.
Umbreon
Umbreon is an Eevee evolution of the dark type, introduced in Pokemon Gold and Silver.
Evolve Eevee into Umbreon also raising your Friendship to three hearts, except this time, make sure you level up overnight. If you take it to the friendship checker in Hammerlocke, he'll say “You two get along great! Together is always better – am I right?”
Make sure Eevee doesn't know a Fairy-type move, or it will evolve into Sylveon! You can delete an NPC move on the left counter inside any Pokemon Center. You can tell it's nighttime if it looks dark in the game in the Wild Area.
flareon
Flareon is an evolution of Eevee from fire type and is one of the three original Eeveelutions.
To evolve Eevee into Flareon, just give it a Fire Stone.
You can find Firestones by the stone circle on the hill in the Lake of Outrage region, and you can also receive them as a reward from the Digging Duo in the Wild Area.
vaporeon
Vaporeon is an evolution of Eevee from water type and is one of the three original Eeveelutions.
To evolve Eevee into Vaporeon, simply give it a Water Stone.
You can find Water Stones by the stone circle on the hill in the Lake of Outrage region of the Wild Area, and you can also receive them as a reward from the Digging Duo.
jolteon
Jolteon is an Eevee evolution of the electric type and is one of the three original Eeveelutions.
To evolve Eevee into Jolteon, just give it a Thunder Stone.
You can find Thunderstones by the stone circle on the hill in the Lake of Outrage region and you can also receive them as a reward from the Digging Duo.
Leafeon
Leafeon is an Eevee evolution of the plant type introduced in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl.
You no longer need to bring Eevee to a certain location with a Moss Rock to evolve it into Leafeon in Pokemon Sword and Shield. Just give it a Stone Leaf and it will evolve!
Like the other evolution stones, you can obtain a Stone Leaf from the rock circle in the Lake of Outrage region or as a reward from the Digging Duo.
Glaceon
Glaceon is an Eevee evolution of the ice type, first introduced in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl.
Like Leafeon, Glaceon's evolution method was also changed in Pokemon Sword and Shield. You no longer need to bring him to a location with an Ice Rock. Instead, give it an Ice Stone to make it evolve.
Exactly! You can also obtain an Ice Stone from the rock cluster on the hill in the Lake of Outrage region, or as a reward from the Digging Duo.
