My Angel | Ninth book in the Enchantment and Confusion series

Another quick read! The books of Alanea Alder they are more than a true charm. They are easy and quick to read.
The author is a master at bringing you from drama to laughter in a matter of seconds. And why are books to be read so quickly?
For the simple reason that the author knows how to write and put the details in the right places. No character, event, speech, whatever, is overlooked by the author. She doesn't spend “ink” on what she writes just to lengthen or make something more beautiful. Each event in the book has a special reason. Be it a short sentence spoken by the main character of the plot, or even a forgotten paper on the table.
It follows the writing pattern of true writers and screenwriters. It often looks like a booklet that she follows. And that all writers were like that. If you are thinking of writing a book, here is a good example of what should be done.
In this book, My Angel, we have the story of Vivian Mercy. She has run away from her past for years, and who trusts only her faithful squire Hal, who raised her since she was a baby. When a panicked call comes from her only friend, as seen in the last book, she is forced to return to Noctem Falls and face her past.
In this city, lives Etain Vi'Aerlin, who is a warrior who has helped to protect the place for centuries. As the disease around him claims more lives, he discovers what it's like to be helpless against something he can't fight with his hands, and that's where the story begins.
As in all the endings of Alanea Alder's books, there is already an epilogue and we know that the two characters will be together. It's no spoiler. It is the adventure and the development of the plot that makes this saga so fascinating. In addition to the nerdy references like the joke that is made in the book about mixing a witch's son with an Elf, in the future to be called Legolas and study in Gryffindor. And even Doctor Who, of whom Meryn is a fanatic, Supernatural, Gremlins and many others.

My Angel outperforms the previous book, My Defender, which is the story of Eleanor and Grant, but in my opinion, My Brother´s Keeper, the fifth book in the series is still superior to this one. It is worth remembering that all the events that lead to Noctem Falls, practically left My Brother´s Keeper. It is the book that divides the departure of the characters from Lycaonia, an open world, to the depths of the underground world and home to the Vampires.
Anyway, My Angel shows only the growth of the series and the mystery that seems to have a solution, but with each book, we are actually a little further from what is happening. With a tightly interwoven plot, it remains to know what is the mystery surrounding the death of so many beings. And why did Fate decide to link these women, who are the real brain of the books, around Meryn? And why are they pregnant at almost the same time?
There are so many questions that the desire to have the new story only increases.
