It's easy to like Iron Man, the hero who saves everyone with his super elaborate armor. It turns out that Tony Stark is an interested character with or without armor, for his interesting past and his complex beliefs, Stark is the type of man who deserves to be analyzed.

And that’s exactly what Iron Man 3 explora, setting post events shown in The Avengers, the plot presents Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) afraid of losing the most important thing in your life: Pepper (Gwyneth Paltrow). The plot features the villain Mandarin (Ben Kingsley) is a kind of terrorist. As the attack is of a political nature, Tony does not interfere, leaving this fight in the hands of iron Patriot (Don Cheadle). But when someone very close to Tony comes between life and death in one of the Mandarin attacks, Tony is disoriented and ends up giving his address on national television. Result: the famous scene that everyone heard about, the destruction of the beautiful Stark mansion in Malibu.

Tony hardly uses armor in this film, some facts make him need to use only his knowledge as a mechanic. And this is what most pleases the production, seeing Tony, that Tony that we all love, with all his intelligence and knowledge, doing the unthinkable with few resources is the great differential of this work.

In the midst of great performances - the whole cast is incredible, mainly Ben Kingsley- we are driven by a much more human, much more political plot, which refers to the first film in the Iron Man franchise. All of this surrounded by action, with scenes of struggles worthy of the Marvel

Anyone who is a fan of the Hero undoubtedly likes to see Tony Stark, the engineer, in action. It is gratifying to see him use almost exclusively his knowledge in mechanics to create solutions to the great dilemmas presented.

Iron Man 3 it's the conclusion of a trilogy, so be prepared. Finally, I know I don’t even need to mention it but it’s worth remembering, the film is from Marvel, always stay until the end of the credits!

  1. Good review. The film has been suffering a lot with the shock of expectation, in that are appearing several commentaries saying that the film itself is not good, which is not true. And a good action film, of course, short of what was promised. But Tony Stark and co have such cool chemistry, it's fun.

    • Thanks for the comment! I completely agree with you, I saw a lot of negative reviews about the movie, which to me doesn't make sense, since the movie has everything a movie of this genre needs: Good character presentation, action and story development. Whether living up to expectations or not, it's still a good movie! 🙂

  2. Gosh, I agree that the film is quite entertaining, both in the humor and in the action scenes, but something was missing, something was missing. Don't get me wrong, I did like the movie, but I couldn't help finding it a little empty, without something that would make me immerse myself in that story and cheer for one of those characters. Not to mention that it is a displaced film, running away from the proposal of Marvel Studios to compose an entire Universe with its characters. Iron Man 3 knows very well where it came from (Iron Man 1 and 2 and The Avengers), but he seems to have no idea where to go next. As for the expectation, I don't know about you, but I felt victimized by misleading advertising. And it's not mi-mi-mi because I didn't receive what I THINK I was going to receive, but because I didn't receive what they SAID I was going to receive. It's like promising your son a birthday Ultrabook and on the day of the party giving a Xuxa laptop to the boy.
For me, Phase 2 at Marvel Studios did not have a triumphant or commendable start with Iron Man 3, but I hope that the development (with the films to come) will be better.
May Odin bless Alan Taylor and Thor: The Dark World! =)

    • Thanks for the comment! Even though I liked the movie, I agree with you on some points. I agree that they made LOTS of propaganda for this film and really, did not deliver what was promised. But I saw this film as an ending, to start a new phase in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ending here Iron Man to focus more on the Universe itself. I think that the events of this film gave a small opening for further explanations, if you do this process correctly.

    • It is my hope. I really want to like this film more, and it may be that what's next will help. One of the problems that the film suffered was having to close a trilogy (not necessarily the character's saga, in my opinion) and also start Phase 2, and the team may have fumbled in that part.
I just want to see the public's reaction when they have to replace Mr. Robert Downey Jr… = /

    • I highly doubt that they will end up replacing Robert Downey Jr., the actor himself has been declaring that he intends to continue as Tony Star and let's agree, there is no more perfect actor for this role!

    • I don't even think he's the best for the role, in fact I think he created this role for himself. In the first two films and in the Avengers, he is simply being himself, precisely because of the freedom that the directors give her (especially Jon Favreau). Only in this last film does he really seem to be following a script.
It's kind of sad, but he's already old for a superhero role. Especially in Marvel Studios films, which, it seems, the tendency is for them to get bigger and bigger and more ambitious.

    • I have to disagree, I think he follows the essence of the character in the comic. But this is a matter of taste. I think now we just have to wait and see what the future of Marvel films will be like.
