The Muskeeters

As of July 1, the first season of the BBC's epic series, The Musketeers, will arrive on Netflix in Brazil and throughout Latin America. With the Chilean actor Santiago Cabrera Among the protagonists such as the captivating musketeer Aramis, the action series is based on the work of the French author Alexandre Dumas and brings new adventures and challenges to the legendary characters of this fantastic story. Set in 17th century Paris, the re-adaptation explores the brotherhood existing among the Musketeers of Artagnan (Luke Pasqualino), Athos (Tom Burke), Porthos (Howard Charles) and Aramis, in addition to their roles as heroes in a society without law or order.

The first season begins with d'Artagnan's arrival in Paris in 1630 to avenge the death of his father, murdered by the musketeer Athos. Upon discovering the existence of obscure forces behind the event and that Athos was wrongly accused, d'Artagnan joins the Musketeers' cause to defend the crown, homeland, honor and justice. The affinity created between the four - Athos, Aramis, Porthos and now d'Artagnan - makes them inseparable and fiercely loyal to their brotherhood.

Created by Adrian Hodges and produced by Jessica Pope and Colin Wratten, The Musketeers have 10 hour-long episodes. The series began airing on January 19 in the UK and ended on March 30 with a smashing success and an audience of over 6 million viewers in its first season.

In addition to the four Musketeers, the cast has Peter Capaldi, like the merciless Cardinal Richelieu; Tamla Kari, as the beautiful Constance Bonacieux; Maimie McCoy, like the mysterious and dangerous Milady de Winter; and Hugo Speer, like the honorable Captain Treville.
